This was our first location shoot after COVID- just Ariel and me. Well, and Gareth the cuddly orangutan. We’ve gone a bit odd since lockdown. Ariel starts by tying her own legs together in classic damsel style, above and below knees and at ankles, using purple hemp rope with some bite to it so the ropes will stay put even over stockings. Then Hywel comes in and ties Ariel’s hands behind her in a reverse prayer pose, using a shoulder and chest harness to keep her hands in place. We chat behind the scenes as we do the rigging, then Hywel photographs Ariel while the cameras continue to roll.
